This is another in the series of pictures I took along the Tarkiln Bayou trail. We were on our way back to the car when I spotted this plant with red leaves. I have no idea what kind of plant it is, but it really stood out against the greens and grays of the surrounding woods. When we got back home, Anna told me this was her favorite of the day's pictures. I like it too. I wonder what this place looks like in the spring. When we get to that time of year, I'm hoping to get some pictures of the endangered pitcher plants that so many people are intent on saving in this neck of the woods. Speaking of spring, what a freaky start to winter. It's been in the 70's here just about every day since winter started. I realize I live in Florida, but this is warm even for here. | |
